Hello everyone!
Many thanks to
lupinity87 for setting up this community. I'm a huge British comedy geek. I enjoy the likes of Father Ted, Black Books, Spaced, Look Around You, Outnumbered, I'm Alan Partridge, The Adam and Joe Show, Monty Python, Rock Profile, Brass Eye, The Day Today, The Office, and an assortment of panel shows (Buzzcocks, Shooting Stars, Have I Got News... to name a few).
One of the things I like about British comedy is the way the actors tend to guest star on each others sitcoms a lot. I watched an episode of Brass Eye the other day and was like "hey, there's Brian from Spaced... and look, Hugh Dennis!". You never know when a familiar face is going to appear out of the blue.
I just wanted to share a couple of clips from The Day Today which I hope will make you laugh. For those who are not familiar with it, it's a parody of news programmes.
And an early Alan Partridge appearance...
Enjoy!
Many thanks to
